The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled a Buffalo Bill Reservoir Water Information Meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at the Homesteader Meeting Room at the Park County Fairgrounds, located at 655 E. 5th Street in Powell, Wyoming.



Discussion topics will include current water supply conditions, the 2026 snowmelt runoff forecast, and projected reservoir operations for 2026.



Buffalo Bill Reservoir near Cody, Wyoming, has a storage capacity of 646,565 acre-feet and provides irrigation water to approximately 95,000 acres. It is a source of municipal water supply to multiple communities, and its power generation facilities provide electricity to thousands of homes.

Shoshone Irrigation District will be bring in Water on the 12th of April and have water deliveries available on April 15th. If you have gates on Lateral or Canal roads they need to be taken down now so that we can get in and look things over as well as maintain and get things ready for delivery. We wish everyone a successful and prosperous year!

Shoshone Irrigation District would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Our office hours will be Christmas eve till noon for the 24th and we will reopen December 29-31st from 8:00am till 12:00 noon each day so that people who need to pat assessment by year end. The crew will resume work on January 5th.

Shoshone Irrigation last day to order water is on Oct 15th. We will be turning water out for the season on the 17th of Oct. Thank you everyone for great water year! Hope everyone has had a successful harvest!
