2 things to help clients and friends:

Trees falling because of windstorm: 90% of Home policies will NOT cover tree removal UNLESS it damages property. So, if a tree just falls there is no coverage for clean up and removal. Plus, with rising home rates and carriers losing money in their Property policy lines, it is not a claim you want to turn in. As with any potential claim, CALL YOUR AGENT FIRST!

Cyberattacks in the industry: with Erie and Philly Insurance dealing with major attacks, I am seeing weird rates come back on simple things and some systems we work with on a daily basis seem to be off. That being said, we work hard to protect all info… but things just seem a little off. Be patient with us if we are working on quotes because everything is taking much longer than normal.
