Because the reality is, waiting has a cost too.

Home prices haven’t stopped moving. Rent hasn’t stopped increasing. And life definitely hasn’t stopped happening while buyers wait for the “perfect” rate.

I’m not saying everyone should run out and buy a house right now. Buying has to make sense for your finances, your monthly payment, and your life. But if the only thing keeping you on the sidelines is waiting for lower rates to come back, it may be time to build a plan around the market we actually have instead of waiting for one that may never return.

September is the sweet spot for that dreaded home to-do list... warm enough to get things done, cool enough to actually enjoy doing them (ok fine, maybe not enjoy, but at least tolerate). 😉

Use the mild days ahead to knock out a few important tasks like cleaning out the gutters, sealing up any drafts, and power washing to keep your home looking its best all winter long.

Here's the thing about overthinking: most of us are already experts at it. We can build entire worst-case scenarios in our heads, complete with details, dialogue, and a dramatic ending. We rehearse the rejection. We expect the failure. We call it "being realistic."

Maybe we do it because we think if we don't get our hopes up, it won't hurt as much if things don't go as planned. But all that really does is rob us of the chance to feel excited about what could go right.

What if you spent just as much time imagining the best-case scenario?

Same imagination. Same mental energy. Just a different story.

Your brain is going to tell stories either way. You might as well make them ones worth believing
