For those of you who ask if I was 12 when I opened my office, the answer is not quite, but my freckle-faced “press release” photo is proof that I was very young and had big hopes for my brand new business when I opened my doors in Portsmouth, NH.
Our 36th anniversary is a good opportunity to reflect on everything that has changed since we opened our office September 1st, 1990.
No, we weren’t using stone tablets and chisels back then, as my children often joke about, but the computer was slow and we used it primarily to transition from paper client files to electronic. All applications were done in paper that duplicated itself, and everything was sent through the US mail. Dow’s Gulf station was across the street from our old office, and Portsmouth was certainly a lot funkier than it looks now.
What hasn’t changed is how we feel about our customers, and our sincere appreciation to those customers who have been with us since 1990!
You are the Portsmouth OG. We still love it when you stop by, sometimes with your dogs, just to say hi, and we’re still there for you when you need us most.
