Record drop off of foreclosures -check out this article

The number of foreclosure notices filed in November plunged 21%, the biggest month-over-month drop ever recorded by RealtyTrac, the online foreclosure marketer. Filings fell 14% compared with November 2009.

October Market Stats came out and showed a slight drop in the average price from $279,000 for September to October's $276,800. That comfirms what we are seeing too--a slight drop in prices.

Speaking of Halloween. We toured some HUD homes to see if we could find a "treat". Some HUD homes played their part well as pretty scary , but a couple were quite sweet and could make a great buy. Just need some elbow grease. Nice locations and 4 bedrooms. Check out our website for our special picks in HUD homes. Happy Halloween.

For Portland 97229 the average list price is $376,520. Portland 97211 shows average list price of $318,302. The median price in greater Portland is $289,000.
