Kris Barrett | Loan Officer • NMLS # 590575

A Portland native, Kris Barrett joined the mortgage industry in August of 2002. Since then, he has worked with every part of the loan process. He started out receiving appraisals and title information, moved on to processing for seven years, transitioned to one year in assistant management for underwriting/processing, and found his home as a Loan Officer in 2012. Kris takes pride in helping borrowers in every stage of their lives, whether they are learning the process of buying their first home or upgrading their home because their family has grown. Helping clients utilize the equity in their home to improve their finances or to pay for large expenses like adoption, medical bills, or that magical vacation is also an important role.

Kris is happily married with two young daughters and a newborn son. When he is not working, he enjoys the great Northwest outdoors. He owns quads, which he loves kicking up some sand or mud with. He hunts elk and deer during that season, and otherwise enjoys camping and the coast. A sports fan, Kris plays and manages an adult softball team. He also enjoys watching the Portland Trail Blazers, Portland Winterhawks, and the Hillsboro Hops baseball team. He has even hosted players from the Hillsboro Hops baseball team for the past several years to stay with him in his home. He enjoys giving back to the community and is active in toy drives for holidays, the March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, and the United Way.
