As we commemorate Dr. King today, it's important to remember not just what he did but what he stood for.

A life of service is a life well spent. There are many ways to give of yourself, including donating your time or money, helping people with simple tasks around the house, talking with someone who needs to be heard, and listening.

There are kinds of service beyond volunteering at a school or food bank. Sometimes you may feel pulled to take action in response to an injustice you see around you, but it's not always easy to know what best to do.

Let's make the most of this day by celebrating Dr. King's life and work and recommitting ourselves to continuing his example in our communities.
