Rock Creek Co-Op

Rock Creek Co-Op The Rock Creek Co-Op is a mutual aid-based resource created in order to combat food and housing insecurity, and foster a greater sense of community.

This service is intended to bridge some of the financial burdens of attending college. Founded in 2017, the Rock Creek Co-Op is the direct result of the findings made by the Student Food and Housing Taskforce. The Rock Creek Co-Op is funded by the Student Activities Fee and supported by the District Student Council. We collaborate with retention centers across campus. The Rock Creek Co-Op recogniz

es the unique situation of community college students and operates on the principles of mutual aid and “Take and Leave”. You take when you need, leave what you don’t, and give when you can. This is a resource for the entirety of the PCC community and we are here to serve you.

Winter Term starts next week and we want to begin the term with a Community Discussion!
This year we opened up the Co-Op, which shares a space with our Student Rec Center.
This has come with many big changes and new challenges.
We want to invite students to share what these changes mean for them and how we can all create a more harmonious and cooperative space.
Join us on Monday, Jan. 15th or Wednesday, Jan. 17th from
12-3 PM to share your thoughts!
Or leave a comment below!

Hope to see you there!

Yesterday wrapped up our last cooking demo and the end of the Seed to Supper Course for Fall Term!
We made Tuna Protein Patties with ingredients sourced solely from the Panther Pantry and kale and potatoes from the Learning Garden!

We had a beautiful turn out and a student offered to submit recipes for future cooking demonstrations!
We will be posting a survey to gauge interest for future cooking demos for Winter Term!

It is a blessing to belong to this community!
