Our Burlington, VT area team members have been to some great events the last couple weeks!

Mascoma Bank was the leading sponsor of Unbuckled.org's fall gathering at Burlington B**r Company. Unbuckled empowers caregivers of children with complex medical conditions by providing access to legal resources, workplace advocacy, and support services. We're honored to support their important mission and help create a stronger, more compassionate community for local families.

In South Burlington, the VermontBiz Biz 2 Biz Expo provided a fantastic day of learning about AI and building resilient workforces. Team members enjoyed connecting with industry leaders and discussing innovative ways to ensure that businesses thrive in the region.

The team was also proud to attend Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) awards ceremony and dinner, connecting with business and community leaders dedicated to using business as a force for positive social and environmental impact. Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility offers great opportunities to collaborate with organizations that strengthen our communities and help build a thriving future for Vermont.

If you see Tatiana, Wyatt, Ben, Juan, Marc, David, Cailin, Cameron, Kerry, or other Mascoma Bank folks out in the community, say hello—they'd love to chat and learn more about how Mascoma can support local people, businesses, places, and causes.

Colder weather is approaching and many families continue to navigate rising costs of necessities. No one should have to struggle to meet their basic needs.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities we serve, Mascoma Bank recently donated $75,000 to local food shelves across our service area and $75,000 to local heating assistance organizations helping individuals and families stay warm this winter.

If you or someone you know is experiencing challenges with food or heating costs, the following resources may be able to help:

This week we celebrate five years with Tracy Ladue at Mascoma Bank.

Seeing Mascoma Bank listed as a sponsor for so many charitable organizations always makes me proud to be a part of a company that puts its communities at the forefront of its mission."

"We just wanted to thank you again for all your help throughout the entire process. My wife and I are deeply thankful and truly appreciate all of your hard work." - Garret

It's wonderful to receive kind messages like these, but even more so because it means a family has the chance to move into their first home.

Janet recently helped Kelly and Garret become first time homebuyers. Plus, she worked with them to find savings opportunities that fit, including no VA funding fee for veterans and 100% financing. They closed successfully in less than 50 days.

Looking for a mortgage lender who can help you navigate homebuying and your unique needs? Janet or any of our mortgage lenders are happy to assist. Reach out directly and start a conversation: https://mascoma.bank/personal-banking/loans/mortgages/mortgage-loan-officers/.
