The Federal Reserve met yesterday..... My phones been ringing off the hook with people asking "What are rates doing?" Feds left short-term rates unchanged - BUT here's the thing.....one of the biggest misconceptions is that the Federal Reserve directly sets the mortgage rates - THEY DON'T! Below is a chart showing what actually moves the rates.
Bottom Line - This is what I tell my clients:
• Buying before rates decline may mean less competition.
• Refinance when / if rates improve.
• Housing is a necessity - You're going to pay to live somewhere
• Invest in your own future instead of your landlords.
