Yesterday Michigan Farm Bureau District 1 Young Farmers held their first golf outing. Everyone had a blast, even though it rained the entire time. We had 19 teams of 4 participate. We ended with a deliscous taco bar for lunch and door prizes.Thank you to the district 1 young farner committees and everyone who made this event such a huge success. We are all already looking forward to next year!

What a lovely evening it was! Last night Kalamazoo County Farm Bureau held their Annual Meeting at the beautiful Hayloft Theatre at the historical section at the Celery Flats. Kalamazoo County Farm Bureau members discussed important policy resolutions and completed the annual business meeting, including board seat elections. Shout out to To the Max BBQ for catering our meal this year. And to Lafayette Creamery for supplying and serving the best ice cream around! Special speaker, Steve Rossio, from the Portage District Library, spoke about the history of the Celery Flats and how it has evolved over the years.
Thank you to our Annual Meeting Planning Committee and to everyone that helped make this year's meeting such a great success!

Our president, Matt Gibson and policy development chair, Kelly Leach hosted lunch with State Representative and Friend of Agriculture Julie Rogers today. Thank you State Representative Rogers for supporting Kalamazoo County farmers!

The Member Appreciation Night at the Ballpark for a Growlers baseball game was loads of fun for all that attended. Complete with food and drinks and Cecil Fielder signing autographs. The night ended with a very impressive firework display. There was close to 100 people in attendance. A special thank you to our Membership Captain, Chad Geoit, for another successful event!
