Talk That Talk Tuesday 🗣️
Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is right around the corner!
🚨 October 15th – December 7th 🚨
One question I get asked often is: “What exactly is Medicare?”
Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for people 65 and older. It can also provide coverage for certain individuals under 65 who have been receiving Social Security Disability benefits for at least 24 months, as well as people with certain conditions such as ALS or End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
Medicare begins with Original Medicare, which consists of two parts:
Part A - Hospital Insurance
Helps cover inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, and hospice care.
Part B - Medical Insurance
Helps cover doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and other medically necessary services.
Medicare can be confusing, especially when you start hearing terms like Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, premiums, deductibles, and networks.
My goal is to make Medicare easier to understand by providing education and helping you understand your options without the pressure.
If you or someone you know would like more educational information about Medicare, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to help you understand the basics and answer your questions.
I'll also be sharing more Medicare educational content very soon!
Have a blessed day!
