I took this picture standing on my dock this evening. For a minute I just stopped.

No phone calls.

No emails.

No noise.

And I thought about how hard I worked to get here. Not the house. Not the dock. The stillness. The ability to stop and actually enjoy what I built.

Then I thought about how many people are sitting in front of a screen right now telling themselves they are busy while their biggest goals collect dust.

The sun doesn't negotiate. It sets on the productive and the stagnant alike.
The difference is what you built before it went down.

Most advisors I talk to have never had that moment of stillness. They are running on a hamster wheel that never stops because they never built a business that works without them running it.

That is not a time problem. That is a strategy and ex*****on problem.

If you are a financial advisor who is tired of watching other people grow while you stay flat, I want to talk to you. The gap between where you are and where you want to be is not talent.
It never was.

Your freedom as an entrepreneur is killing you.
You built something real. And now you're using it as an excuse to stop.

Every hour spent on activity that doesn't move the needle is an unemployed hour. You're just the only one who can't fire you.

The entrepreneurs I've watched fail didn't crash dramatically. They coasted. Quietly. Comfortably. Until there was nothing left to coast on.

Entrepreneurship isn't a trophy. It's a daily performance.

Show up or admit you've already quit.

I can't remember the last time I got a phone call from a carrier rep.
A handwritten note? Never.

Until Paul Garofoli changed that.

In an industry drowning in emails, automated texts, and portal notifications, Paul took the time to put pen to paper.

That says everything about who he is and how he does business.
Old school isn't outdated. Old school is a differentiator.

Paul, you're a class act. My agents and I notice things like this and it matters more than you know.
This is the standard we should all be holding ourselves to.

14 years ago today, I was 2 weeks out from a quintuple bypass and proud of walking a mile on a treadmill.
I called it "lame." It wasn't. It was everything.
Five arteries. One surgery. A body that had pushed past its limit and a team of people who put it back together. I didn't fully understand then how close the margin was. You never do in the moment.
Today that memory popped up, and I sat with it for a minute.
I'm still here. Still walking. Still grateful for every single person who showed up. In that hospital, in that recovery, and in the years since.
Don't wait for a surgeon to crack your chest open to tell the people around you what they mean to you. Do it today. Loudly. Without waiting for the right moment.
The right moment was always right now.

Grateful to be in rooms where I can connect with driven professionals, exchange ideas, and actually have a great time doing it. 🙌

Work hard play hard isn’t just a saying it’s the perfect balance. Building real relationships, sharing laughs, and still pushing each other to grow.

There’s something special about surrounding yourself with people who inspire you. It’s a reminder that success isn’t just about grinding it’s about growing.
