Ya'll, ignore the pj shorts and the dirt all of my legs.
This was 9/19/19, Imelda. Me personally standing in the flooding waters in my front yard in Nederland, TX.
It doesn't look like much but that is 6 inches up my leg of water and in some spots of our home, 8 inches.
Doesn't sound like much right? Couldn't have caused that much in damages, right?
Wrong. That little bit of water caused over $90,000 in damages to our home.
The savior? Flood insurance!! That check was the biggest piece of mind for our family.
Sure, I spend $1,095 a year on it. But the one time I needed it completely made up for that yearly premium for life!!
Don't gamble your home just because "it'll never happen to me".
