That's a wrap on Moon Festival 2026. 🌕🏮

Thank you for bringing your families, your appetites and your friends. Thank you to every vendor, sponsor, performer and volunteer who helped light up the largest Asian food & culture festival in the Hudson Valley. Like any good harvest, it took a lot of hands, and we're grateful for every one of them.

The lanterns are packed away, but the moon comes back every year, and so do we:

🗓️ Moon Festival 2027: Fri Sept 17 (3–10pm), Sat Sept 18 (11am–9pm), Sun Sept 19 (11am–6pm)

Thanksgiving is about six weeks away, and we're still thinking about this lawn. 🍂

At Moon Festival, families spread out on the grass with plates of food, the kids ate their way through the afternoon, and nobody was in a hurry to leave. Sounds a lot like a Thanksgiving table, doesn't it?

Mid-Autumn and Thanksgiving are both about the same things: the harvest, a full table and the people around it. 🌕

So, what Moon Festival favorite would you bring to your Thanksgiving table this year? Mooncakes? Dumplings? Something else? Tell us below! 👇

A harvest festival is only as good as the people who bring it to life, and our vendors brought it. 💛

"I really had a great time meeting new people and customers! I also enjoyed learning a few words in Mandarin! It was a beautiful event, you did an outstanding job!" (Malinda N., vendor)

Thank you to every vendor who set up a booth, shared their craft and spent the weekend with our community. And thank you to everyone who stopped by to shop small. 🌕🍂

What did you take home from Moon Festival this year? Tell us below! 👇

The best family gatherings always run late. 🌕🐉

At Thanksgiving it's the second slice of pie and one more story at the table. At Moon Festival, it was the dragon dancing right through the crowd after dark, with families pulling up chairs to watch under the full moon.

Thank you for staying, for gathering and for making the night glow. Who were you sitting with? Tag them below! 👇

The answer to yesterday's harvest trivia is... B) the 8th month! 🌕

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, right in the middle of autumn, when the harvest is in and the moon is full. That's why it's a night for family reunions and giving thanks, a lot like our own Thanksgiving. 🍂

Did you get it right? Tell us below! 👇

Tiny Hanfu, huge hearts. 💕🌕

Every harvest holiday is really about passing something down: the recipe, the story, the way we gather. At Thanksgiving it might be Grandma's stuffing. At Moon Festival, it's little ones stepping onstage in Hanfu, traditional Chinese dress, and carrying the tradition forward one small step at a time.

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian neighbors! 🍁 Their harvest holiday lands in October, right in the same season as the Mid-Autumn Festival. Two traditions, one idea: the harvest is in, so gather and give thanks. 🌕

Quick harvest trivia: the Mid-Autumn Festival always falls on the 15th day of which month of the lunar calendar?

A) 1st month
B) 8th month
C) 12th month

Comment A, B or C. Answer tomorrow! 👇

Bringing in a harvest takes many hands. So does a festival. 🌾🌕

Thank you to every volunteer and crew member who worked behind the scenes at Moon Festival so that families like these could simply sit back, relax and enjoy the day together. You're the reason it all came together, and we're so grateful.

Volunteers, drop a 🙋 below so we can thank you properly!
