The article below was a real eye opener. Most Americans are not aware of the cost associated with their medical needs as they age from an employe sponsored plan and on to Medicare. I spend a good dealof my time working with people who are new to Medicare. They are astounded abpout how many gaps Medicare has incuding no coverage for dental; hearing; or prescription medicines. the folks I speak with are also surprised to learn that for the most part Medicare does not cover stays in nursing homes or adult day care.
