This year's El Niño is bringing warmer temperatures and shifting weather patterns around the world.

Forecasters say there's a 63% chance it will strengthen into a Super El Niño, which could make it the strongest El Niño since the 1870s.

While it may reduce the number of Atlantic hurricanes, it doesn't eliminate the risk.

NEW | In 2026, the forecast cone issued by the National Hurricane Center will now include tropical storm and hurricane watches/warnings for inland and coastal areas. This will enable inland communities to better understand and prepare for the danger posed by tropical winds.
