Our office is CLOSED today, Tuesday 12/2, until further notice. We will reassess road conditions and update when it is safe to get there safely. We are told that there is black ice under the snow, so please use caution if you have to be on the roads.

Our office will remain CLOSED this am, until the county lowers the level emergency. We are trying to get our phones forwarded to our cell phones, as we will be working from home until we are able to safely make it to the office. If you need to file a claim, your insurance cards include a toll free number so you can contact the company directly to avoid further delay. We apologize for any inconvenience. **LEVEL 3 SNOW EMERGENCY**

Sunday, January 5th, 2025

Sheriff Scott Fitch has placed Meigs County under a level 3 snow emergency. All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists.

The decision to go to a level 3 was not entered into lightly. The roads throughout our county have been patrolled this evening by the Sheriff and Deputies and the conditions have continued to get much worse throughout the late evening hours. All roads are extremely slick and we have had multiple car accidents tonight as a result. After conferring with ODOT, Meigs County Highway Garage road crews, and reviewing the overnight forecast, the decision to go to a level 3 was made. This decision is for the safety of all Meigs County residents. If you are not an essential worker please stay home and off the roads until conditions improve. If you are on the roads in Meigs County you will be subject to arrest.
