West Virginia friends, it’s always better to prepare before the storm than after it. 🌩️
I’m hopeful tomorrow’s forecast ends up being much less severe than predicted, and I truly hope this post is unnecessary. But as your insurance agent, I’d much rather help you prevent a claim than have to help you file one.
A few simple steps can make a big difference:
🚗 Move vehicles into a garage or under cover if possible.
☂️ Secure patio furniture, trampolines, umbrellas, and anything else that could become airborne.
🌺 Bring in hanging baskets and lightweight decorations.
📱 Charge your phones and portable battery packs in case of power outages.
🏡 If you have time, clear gutters and storm drains so heavy rain can drain properly.
⚡️Stay weather aware and avoid driving if severe storms are moving through your area.
If strong winds or hail are in the forecast, a few minutes of preparation today could save you thousands of dollars and a lot of stress.
