Upfront homebuying costs don't have to be the biggest hurdle for homebuyers.

CHFA offers first mortgage financing and a “Time to Own” second mortgage option for eligible buyers, which may help support down payment and closing costs, with specific limits and requirements.

In addition, CHFA offers an additional rate reduction for military members, police, teachers, veterans, and people with disabilities or disabled household members.

Citizens is a participating lender in the Police and Firefighter's Retirement Mortgage (PFRS) Program, administered by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA).

Eligible borrowers include active NJ PFRS members with at least one year of creditable service. Additional program restrictions apply, and all loans are subject to approval.
