Whether you stack it high or thin, National Sandwich Day on November 3rd recognizes one of America's favorite lunch items.

The sandwich is believed to be the namesake of John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, following the claim that he was the inventor of the sandwich. No matter who invented it, we celebrate every kind of sandwich.

HALLOWEEN
October 31st brings out the ghouls and goblins, creatures, and strange folk. It's Halloween! This spooktacular holiday is when things come creeping about the neighborhood seeking favors over trickery.

People of all ages look forward to Halloween traditions. While dressing up and baking, we carve up glowing pumpkins. Children breathe life into storybook characters while practicing their trick or treat. In twos and threes, they traipse through the neighborhood, collecting their bounty in pillow sacks. A ghost, a pirate, a robot or Dorothy, and Toto. No matter their age, they come to the door. They knock or ring. Here and there, a screech or a boo!

NATIONAL CAT DAY
National Cat Day on October 29th is the purrfect day to give extra attention, treats, and appreciation to the independent, often hilarious, felines who grace our lives.

Cats make excellent, if opinionated, companions. They rarely miss you, but when they do, you certainly know it—usually in the form of a synchronized head-butt, a sudden case of zoomies at 3:00 AM, or a perfect loaf positioned exactly where you need to sit. National Cat Day is a celebration of all these unique cat quirks and the joy they bring.

NAVY DAY
Navy Day on October 27th salutes all of the military personnel who have served, both past and present, in the United States Navy. Hooyah!

The United States Navy (USN) is the naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. The U.S. Navy currently stands as the largest, most powerful navy in the world, with the highest combined battle fleet tonnage. The service engages over 340,000 personnel on active duty and more than 71,000 in the Navy Reserve.

National Boston Cream Pie Day honors the iconic, chocolate-frosted, custard-filled cake that has captured the hearts and taste buds of millions. So, is it a pie or a cake? Let's slice into the sweet history of this American classic!

The legend of Boston Cream Pie was born in 1856 at Boston’s famous Parker House Hotel. There, French chef Monsieur Augustine Francois Anezin created a masterpiece by layering two rounds of golden sponge cake with a thick, velvety vanilla custard. To finish, he draped the entire creation in a rich, glossy chocolate glaze.
