You know what that means… it’s officially time for one of Minnesota’s favorite traditions before we say goodbye to summer!

Meet Our Sales Team — Nick & Casey!

Nick and Casey are out in the community every day, spreading the word about everything Ungerman has to offer and showing up for homeowners, HOAs, and commercial properties when they need us most.

We asked them: What's your favorite thing about working at Ungerman?
Casey said:

"I love working with homeowners who are facing stressful situations and helping guide them through the process and on to the other side. Being able to make a difficult situation a little easier for someone is what brings me joy."
Nick said:

"Two things come to mind. First, the team. Everyone here shows up and gives their best, and that energy makes the work both fun and purposeful. Second, being able to help clients through some of their most stressful moments. Losses are hard on everyone, and having the ability to problem solve and actually make a difference... that's what makes it rewarding."

Hail and fallen trees aren’t the only causes of exterior damage- wind can also compromise your roof.

After a storm, watch for missing, torn, loose, or creased shingles, especially along the roof’s ridge (the shingles on the ridge tend to blow off first). Even shingles that look fine from the ground may no longer be fully secured, increasing the risk of water intrusion.

Creased shingles are another sign to watch for. Once a shingle creases (see the second photo), it's left with a weak point that can eventually break or tear.

🌡️ Hot weather is coming—help your AC beat the heat! ☀️

A few simple preventive maintenance tips before temps hit the 90s:

✅ Clear cottonwood, leaves, and debris from the outdoor AC unit.
✅ Replace or check your air filter.
✅ Set your thermostat a couple of degrees higher (74–76°F if comfortable).
✅ Keep 2–3 feet of clearance around the outdoor unit.
✅ Close blinds during the hottest part of the day and use ceiling fans to stay comfortable.

A little maintenance now can improve efficiency, lower energy costs, and help prevent breakdowns during the hottest days of summer. Stay cool! ❄️
