In May, a teenager reported to a SBPD School Resource Officer that she was sexually assaulted before school that day. The victim stated she missed her school bus, so she walked to school. The victim stated that while walking in the 200 block of N. Olive Street, a black SUV pulled over and the male driver told her to get into the vehicle.
The victim stated she saw a car seat in the backseat of the SUV so she thought it would be safe to get in. The victim then asked the male to drive her to her school. The victim stated that they ultimately parked near an abandoned house, and the male sexually assaulted her.
The victim said that the male then dropped her off near the school.
Through an investigation by the South Bend Police Department and the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit, 37-year-old Brandon Pryor was identified as a suspect. In late June, the St. Joseph County Prosecutorβs Office charged Pryor with two counts of Child Molesting. His warrant was initially sealed to allow law enforcement to locate Pryor and take him into custody. However, because he has not yet been located, his warrant has been unsealed, allowing this information to be shared publicly.
Brandon Pryor is described as 6β1β, 205 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He should be considered armed and dangerous. Pryor has been known to drive several different vehicles. He was identified as driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe during the incident in May⦠but most recently, he was seen in a dark-colored BMW SUV with an unknown plate number.
Pryor has ties to South Bend, Chicago and Indianapolis. He is believed to be in the Chicago area now.
If you see Pryor, do not approach him. Instead, call 9-1-1. Additionally, tips about Pryorβs whereabouts can be shared anonymously through Michiana Crime Stoppers by calling 574-288-STOP or visiting p3tips.com/203. Crime Stoppers does not have caller ID or IP address tracking.
Please remember, all persons are presumed innocent until/unless convicted in a court of law.
