Dearest Family and Friends,
It is with mixed emotions we share that Mom passed peacefully this morning in Rehab. As you know she was struggling with oxygen levels post surgery and the staff did amazingly well in giving her comfort over the last week. We were always hopeful she would recover to a point of pre surgery but we also knew that she longed to gain her freedom from the difficult journey of the past few years. Her wish was finally granted.
We say goodbye with admiration for the woman she was. A strong, independent, feisty soul who had many passions to include listening to music and song, being with her family, and getting lost in the world of silver dollars clanging down from slot machine jackpots. She definitely left us with thousands of wonderful memories that will always bring laughter and joy to our presence each time we remember them. Even those where her fiestyness would set us aback for a moment. We all were recipients of those choice moments. Now we will cherish them as That was Mom!!! A one of a kind for sure. Bye Mom!!
For those who are able, we would love to see you and share some of her memories in a celebration of her 97 year journey today (Friday, Jan 2nd) from 3-7 at 6150 Hillbrook Place, Dublin. Mom did not want a big funeral so once we know the dates and time we will hold a private family ceremony, but will follow soon with prayer event details for those who can attend to send her soul onwards in peace.
You were all part of her journey and her collection of life moments which she loved and cherished in her own way. Thank you for making her a part of your life and sharing yours with her to give her moments of joy and love.
