As we celebrate Independence Day, here's a fun fact: the Continental Congress actually voted for independence on July 2, 1776—and then approved the final text of the Declaration on July 4, which is why we commemorate the Fourth.

A few of our team members packed meals at Kids Against Hunger Bay Area yesterday as part of Morgan Stanley's Global Volunteer Month. We helped pack 12,744 meals to be shipped around the world. Our team is always ready, willing, and able to provide service, and I love working with all of them!

Happy Groundhog Day!

Whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not, it's a fun annual reminder that spring is on the horizon.

Fun fact: The tradition traces back to Candlemas celebrations in Europe, where people used weather patterns on Feb 2 to predict the remaining length of winter; German immigrants later brought a version of this custom to Pennsylvania, where the groundhog became the "forecaster."
