It’s been a little while since I’ve posted…

Life has been moving fast — those who know me personally know my family has grown 👶🏻 and at the same time, so has my business. Both have been blessings that have kept me focused, grateful, and motivated.

I’m getting back to sharing more (thanks Linda) — not for clout, but to give people something real… something hopeful.

Because the truth is:
Homeownership is still possible.
Not just for “perfect” buyers.
Not just for high income earners.
But for anyone willing to take the first step — regardless of age, background, or where they’re starting.

I was reminded of that again with a recent closing…

Guillermo reached out to me back in November with a goal: to buy his first home. He wasn’t sure how everything would come together, but he was ready to try.

Together, we built a plan.
Working closely with his realtor, we searched for the right property and carefully vetted condominium projects — especially important since he wanted to be in a 55+ community.

And when it came down to making the numbers work… we were able to secure down payment assistance to help bridge the gap and turn his goal into reality.

Today, Guillermo and his wife Gloria are homeowners.

When I first separated from the service, I barely liked standing up when they asked all veterans to rise. I didn’t feel like I’d done anything special—just did my job like everyone else around me.

But as time passes… and more of the people I served with retire, or pass on… the weight of this day gets heavier.

What we did together mattered.
And it still does.

There’s a quote I come back to often: “It is not the critic who counts… but the man who is actually in the arena.”

Being in uniform changes how you see the world—and how you carry the responsibility of living in it after. You stop worrying about what side someone’s on and start caring more about who’s still standing beside you. Who’s showing up. Who’s willing to serve something greater than themselves.

To my fellow veterans—thank you. For the service, the sacrifices, and the continued strength you show even after the uniform is off.

And to those who never served but choose to live with honor, courage, and commitment in your own lives: thank you too. That’s what makes this country better.
