I am getting a lot of calls from from people who had trees or other debris's damage their home. Make sure to take pictures of the debris's on your property before you remove them. Take photos of any broken glass or debris's in your pool. If there is water inside your house, take a picture of it before you clean it up.

After working insurance claims for nearly twenty years, we have some good advice. Take pictures of everything. Open the drawers, closets, and even the refrigerator. Take an overview and a close up photograph of every item in your home. Photograph the label or serial number. Be very detailed. Yes it will be time consuming, but we will all have cabin fever real soon and it will help pass the time. Please understand the burden of proof is your responsibility and a picture is worth a thousand words. If you sustain damage to your property, contact our office immediately. We’ve helped thousands of hurricane victims achieve a fair and reasonable settlement from their insurance company. Our initial consultation is always free.

Hurricane tips

Have your insurance company and policy information.

Water and ice is hard to find now. I recommend filling up gallon ziplock bags or jugs with water and putting them in the freezer. You may want to space out the bags of ice so it keeps your items cool when the power goes out.

Do not go outside for anything during the storm. There will be flying roof tiles and other debris's. It's not worth salvaging anything outside during the storm. Please be safe.
