Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: David K. Seals, Jr. I am deeply passionate about helping people in my community make the most of their money. My wife and I married in 2018, and we have a son and two dogs.

West Point Grad • Army Veteran • Financial Advisor • Tailoring holistic wealth strategies to clients’ lifestyles, goals, family dynamics, taxes, and estate considerations. It’s an incredible honor to earn my clients’ trust and manage their wealth. I grew up in Oklahoma, graduated from West Point, and joined the army before starting my career with Edward Jones. After honorably fulfilling my commitment to the nation, I left the army in 2017. A layoff from my first corporate job led me to pursue my passion, so I joined Edward Jones. After tons of hard work learning about financial services, I now have the privilege of serving people again. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering with veteran’s organizations, fishing, and playing golf. I continuously learn about investment strategies, economic influences, and professional services as a financial advisor to better serve my clients. I graduated from Texas A&M with a Master of Jurisprudence degree and earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC™) designation from the College of Financial Planning. Additionally, I earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation, equipping me with specialized skills to help business owners accelerate the value of their businesses prior to exiting.

Many people assume financial confidence comes with age. In my experience, it's not quite that simple.

New research from Edward Jones and Gallup shows that people across generations share concerns about their financial future. Younger adults are often working to build wealth, while older adults are focused on making their savings last. But both are looking for greater peace of mind about what's ahead.

That's one reason I enjoy helping clients create personalized strategies that align with their goals and priorities, both today and as their needs evolve over time.

Older adults are much more confident than younger adults in managing their current finances. Confidence in managing future finances, however, differs less by age.

One point that stood out to me is how many families are balancing long-term goals with desire to support loved ones today. It’s something that often comes up in conversations with clients, whether it’s helping adult children with housing expenses, student debt or other financial challenges.

As David notes, "The reality is we live in an age of financial uncertainty and anxiety like no other." Having open conversations and a thoughtful plan can help families navigate those decisions with greater confidence.

Market headlines got you worried? Staying focused on what you can control can help you feel more at ease. And one of the ways to do that is by diversifying your investment portfolio.

Diversification can't guarantee profits or prevent losses, but it can help manage risk and smooth out some of the ups and downs that can come with investing. However, diversification isn't one-size-fits-all. The right approach depends on your goals, timeline and comfort with risk.

If you'd like to talk about your portfolio or have questions about navigating today's market environment, I'm here to help.

Retirement planning isn't just about saving. It's about knowing what you're saving for. If you're within 5–10 years of retirement, these five questions are worth considering:

- When do you want to retire?
- How do you want to spend your days?
- Where do you want to live?
- What will your lifestyle cost?
- Does your plan include giving back?

Your answers are just the starting point. The next step is aligning them with a financial strategy built around the life you actually want. Ready to get started? Let’s talk.

As the third quarter comes to an end, three numbers are moving markets — $100 oil, a 5% yield on the 10-year Treasury, and 35% earnings growth. Two are headwinds, and one is the reason the market hasn’t buckled. Senior Global Investment Strategist Angelo Kourkafas breaks down each number and what it means for your portfolio.
