As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we’re celebrating Guadalupe Ramos, branch manager at First Central Credit Union in Waco, TX, and the values, culture, and experiences she brings to the credit union movement. 💛

The stories that shape how our YPs lead, serve, and connect deserve to be celebrated all year long.

Our stories strengthen the movement.

The world can feel noisy. Markets fluctuate. Trends come and go.

Credit unions continue to provide something invaluable: a steady signal.

This International Credit Union Day, we celebrate the power of cooperative finance and the members who make it possible. By working together, we're creating stronger communities, empowering financial success, and putting people at the center of every decision.

Here's to the credit union difference and the cooperative movement that continues to make a lasting impact.

Sometimes, the best career lessons come from stepping outside your usual responsibilities.

YP Advisor Nermina Ibisevic offers this perspective on career growth:

“One of the best career lessons I’ve learned is that growth doesn’t only happen within your job title. Some of the most valuable skills we can develop come from volunteering for projects outside of our role, networking with peers in different departments, and staying curious about areas of the credit union we don’t directly work in every day.”

For young professionals, that could start with joining a cross-department project or asking a colleague to share more about their work. Small steps can help you build relationships and better understand how your credit union serves its members.

What experience outside your role has helped you grow?
