Before your kids head out the door, make sure they know how to get to school safely, no matter how they are getting there. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

🔵Walking to school? Stick to sidewalks, cross only at crosswalks, make eye contact with drivers before stepping into the street, and always walk in a group when possible.

🔵Riding a bike? A properly fitted helmet is non-negotiable. Remind students to ride on the right side of the road with traffic, come to a complete stop before crossing, and choose a route with minimal intersections and light traffic.

🔵Taking the bus? Students should stand at least 6 feet back from the curb when waiting for a bus, wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before boarding, and never walk behind or in front of a bus without making eye contact with the driver first.

🔵Getting dropped off? If you drive your child to school, obey school zone speed limits, follow your school's drop-off procedure, and never pass a bus that is loading or unloading children.

🔵Teen drivers? Review the basics of safe driving. This includes, but is not limited to, having all passengers wear seatbelts, putting devices away while driving, and driving the speed limit.

We hope you find these tips helpful as students transition back to school. As always, if you have any needs or questions, do not hesitate to reach out to our team. We are happy to help.

Every jobsite reflects hard work and major investment, and protecting that progress is just as important as building it. Construction equipment theft costs the industry over $1 billion annually, and only about 25% of stolen equipment is recovered. With theft and vandalism on the rise, smart site security can help prevent delays and costly setbacks.

Swipe through for practical ways to help safeguard your project.

Taking steps to protect your jobsites can help reduce your likelihood of theft, but it cannot reduce the risk outright. That’s why having dedicated construction insurance is key. Our team is here to help make sure your operation is fully protected. Give us a call anytime.

If you’ve ever loaned your car to a friend or borrowed someone else’s vehicle, you may have wondered what happens if an accident occurs. Would the vehicle owner’s insurance apply — or would the driver’s policy take over?

In most situations, auto insurance follows the vehicle first, not the driver. That means the car's policy is usually the primary source of coverage in the event of an accident. However, that’s not always the case. Swipe for some key details about when the vehicle owner’s policy kicks in and when the driver’s policy is used.

If you’re ever unsure how your coverage applies, want to double-check your policy, or layer on additional auto coverages, we’re always happy to take a look with you. Feel free to give our team a call. We are here to be a resource for you.

Summer work is in full swing, making now a smart time to review how your insurance may respond if tools or equipment are damaged, stolen, or lost in the course of business. Tools and equipment coverage is designed to help protect against certain related risks that may impact your machinery and key tools. Swipe to see what insurance can cover.

Since coverage can vary based on policy type, listed equipment, limits, and endorsements, it is important to confirm what is actually insured before a loss occurs. Contact us to review your tools and equipment coverage and make sure the right protections are in place.
