Here is a link to the article about the 10 medications that Medicare will be able to negotiate prices starting in 2026. The sad thing is that at least half lf these medications are already available in Canada in a generic version and at a MUCH lower cost to consumers.

This came in my mail today. It is NOT from Medicare, although at first glance it would appear to be official. Just another company trying to get you to call them so they can, sometimes unknowingly, change your Medicare plan so they get paid.

If you fill out a form like this, and mail it, someone can and will call you. Please don't fill out these mailers. Instead, call someone who is knowledgeable in Medicare plans to help you, and all do the due diligence to ensure you're covered properly.

New York State has increased the income limits for Medicaid and the Medicare Savings Program, which means more people will qualify for these important benefits.

I will be sending out an email to all my clients with the pertinent information.

The 2022 Annual Enrollment Period is over! If you still need to make a change in your plan and didn’t meet with me during the past 7 weeks, there are still opportunities to review and make needed changes.

1) If you qualify for the NYS pharmaceutical program, EPIC, that program gives you one extra chance to make a change. So, there would still be time for an effective date of January 1. Qualification is income based. If your income is less than$75K as an individual, or less than $100K as a married couple, you qualify.

2) If EPIC doesn’t work for you, there is also the Open Enrollment Period, which runs from January 1 - March 31. This enrollment period also gives you one chance to change your plan for the new year.

December 7 is the Pearl Harbor National Day of Remembrance. It is also the last day for the Annual Open Enrollment Period for Medicare recipients. Honor the memory of our fallen soldiers. Also, pay attention to your health insurance plan.

AEP is here! It is a very busy time for us Medicare insurance agents! For the next 7 weeks, I will be meeting with all my awesome clients, discussing new options, and making sure everyone is ready for 2023!

I love this time of year, even though I had to put my golf clubs away for the season ☺️. I get to see my clients, many of them friends after all these years together! Let’s rock this!
