When was the last time you looked at your ENTIRE financial future? ๐Ÿค”

Financial planning is more than managing investments. From retirement planning to taxes and estate planning, everything should work together.

Are you looking at the big picture? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐ŸŒด More Americans are deciding that enjoying life now matters just as much as making financial progress for later.

A recent SoFi survey found that 72% of Americans would be willing to make slower progress toward their financial goals so they can spend more time with family, travel more, and prioritize meaningful experiences.

That doesnโ€™t necessarily mean abandoning long-term goals. In fact, 59% of respondents said enjoying life is how they define financial progress, compared with 27% who pointed to owning a home.

The challenge is finding a balance between what matters now and what matters later. โœˆ๏ธ That can mean making room for a vacation, concert, or family event while still keeping an eye on retirement savings and debt.

But charge that trip to a credit card and carry a balance, and interest can turn a two-week memory into a much longer bill.

What does financial progress look like to you: reaching the next milestone, enjoying more of life now, or some mix of both?

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ”ง๐ŸŒ Teach Youth to Prepare for Disasters ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿšจ

Did you know that September is National Preparedness Month? It's the perfect time to empower our youth with the knowledge and skills they need to be prepared for any disaster. Here are some important steps to help teach young people about disaster preparedness:

๐Ÿ”ง Start the conversation: Engage children in discussions about different types of disasters and why it's important to be prepared. Use age-appropriate language and examples to help them understand.
๐Ÿ”ง Create a family emergency plan together: Involve children in the process of developing an emergency plan for your household. Teach them what to do, where to go, and whom to contact in case of an emergency.
๐Ÿ”ง Assemble an emergency kit: Show children how to gather essential supplies like water, non-perishable food, flashlights, and first aid items. Explain why each item is important and how they can help during a crisis.
๐Ÿ”ง Practice emergency drills: Conduct regular drills to familiarize children with evacuation procedures and safety protocols. Make it interactive and fun to reduce anxiety and build confidence.
๐Ÿ”ง Encourage them to spread the word: Empower children to share their knowledge with friends, classmates, and neighbors. Encouraging others to be prepared can create a ripple effect of readiness in the community.

By teaching youth about disaster preparedness, we are equipping them with lifelong skills that can save lives and build resilience.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ”ง๐ŸŒ Protect Your Family and Your Property from Disasters ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿšจ

Did you know that September is National Preparedness Month? It's the perfect time to take action and safeguard your family and property from potential disasters. Here are some crucial steps to help you protect what matters most:

๐Ÿ”ง Conduct a home safety assessment: Identify potential hazards in and around your home, such as loose wiring, blocked exits, or overgrown vegetation, and take necessary measures to mitigate them.
๐Ÿ”ง Review your insurance coverage: Ensure that your homeowners or renters insurance policy adequately covers potential risks like floods, earthquakes, or wildfires. Consider additional coverage if needed.
๐Ÿ”ง Create a home inventory: Document your valuable possessions by taking photos or videos, and keep a detailed list of important items. This will assist with insurance claims in case of damage or loss.
๐Ÿ”ง Secure your property: Implement measures such as installing smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguishers, and sump pumps to protect against various hazards.
๐Ÿ”ง Develop an emergency response plan: Establish evacuation routes, designate a safe meeting point, and ensure that all family members are aware of what to do in case of a disaster.
๐Ÿ”ง Share information with neighbors: Encourage your neighbors to also prepare and exchange contact information, fostering a sense of community resilience.

By taking proactive steps to protect your family and property, you can mitigate the impact of disasters and increase your overall preparedness.
