Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union

Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit, financial cooperative chartered i Pittsburgh FCU has no outside stockholders.

Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit, financial cooperative chartered in 1935. Since our founding Pittsburgh FCU has promoted the basic credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”. Our credit union exists to meet the financial needs of our members and their families. To achieve this goal, we offer an array of quality financial products and services — all designe

d for affordability and member convenience. Instead each of our members is a part owner of the credit union. Rather than maximizing profits from customers to satisfy stockholders, we judge our success by member satisfaction and return excess earnings each year to our membership in the form of:

bullet Competitive dividend rates on savings and investment accounts
bullet No-cost or low fees for financial services
bullet Competitive interest rates on loans to make borrowing money affordable
bullet Adding new products, services and technologies to meet the changing needs of our members

Members of Pittsburgh FCU also enjoy the benefit of security as their savings are federally insured to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration. Tired of high fees and being just a number at some big, for-profit financial institution? Why not become a member of Pittsburgh FCU? We’re confident that you’ll love the difference! Credit union membership in Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union is open to any individual who works, lives, worships or attends school in one of the underserved communities that the credit union is approved to serve. Businesses and other legal entities within these areas are also eligible for membership. If you are a company or group interested in offering the many advantages of credit union membership to your employees, we invite you to email us or call our President/CEO, Hope Egnac at 412-381-6363. Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union also serves individuals who are associated with any organization that is part of our field of membership. Click on the join us page for a complete list of the communities and organizations we serve. Family members of existing members and potential members that are within our field of membership are also eligible to join the credit union. Our office is located at 317 Brownsville Road in the business district of Mount Oliver. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Friday. DISASTER RECOVERY INFORMATION
Hurricane Katrina taught us all many lessons about disaster preparedness – or lack thereof. One of the biggest problems was communication. Disasters can happen anywhere and credit unions can experience interruption of services from power outages, severe storms, and terrorist attacks. Your credit union is taking a proactive approach to this possible problem. Therefore, in the case of a disaster involving Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union, we are asking our members to check our website for instructions, listen to your television or radio if possible, and/or to call the Credit Union National Emergency Information System hotline for additional information at 1-877-285-6228.
