NEW: The Reserve Bank of St. Louis and ’s National Data Hub has just come out with 2021 data! Across just 28 reporting institutions, 3.4 million Bank On certified
accounts were opened in 2021, with 80% of accounts opened by customers new to the financial institution – the movement is bringing new customers into the financial mainstream.

2021 FDIC Survey of Unbanked & Underbanked Households released. The report highlights the progress the Bank On movement and banking access field have made in moving people into the financial mainstream, while also showing there remains work to be done.

Bank On Allegheny County recently took part in a conference hosted by Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund focused on increasing banking access and financial education to teenagers working summer jobs. The convening brought together partners from across the country doing similar work, and was a great learning experience!

Last week, Neighborhood Allies teamed with Tri Valley Service Federal Credit Union, Homewood Children's Village, and Partner4Work to get youth working summer jobs their first bank account.
