We're exceptionally proud of our Do Support Women (DSW) Employee Resource Network in Virginia for volunteering to prepare a meal for the women staying at the YWCA South Hampton Roads Shelter.

“It was a great example of giving back through teamwork and community involvement while supporting the YWCA’s broader mission of empowering women, helping families and strengthening communities,” said Michelle Newton, Branch Manager at the Tidewater Office.

Our ERNs not only transform our culture internally, but they focus their efforts toward supporting vital organizations in our communities. YWCA South Hampton Roads is providing a safe place for people escaping unsafe conditions and provides them with services they need to live safe and happy lives.

🎸🤘 We were rocking out in South Euclid at this year's Rock the Block! It was a blast seeing all the residents, volunteers, local organizations and businesses in the community come out for this awesome event.

It's events like Rock the Block that demonstrate what can be accomplished when organizations and community unite around a shared goal of creating stronger, more vibrant neighborhoods — with some great music too. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this effort and cherished annual event in South Euclid.

🎪 Who doesn't love a carnival game?! Here's a little update on how we're making sure summer is fun right up until the start of the school year for students.

🎟️ Our Community Development team hosted a booth at the Tickets for Kids Charities First Annual Dream Big Carnival in Pittsburgh, PA. This carnival was a first-of-its-kind event for 1,000 deserving children. It took place on the floor of PPG Paints Arena with a carnival to allow kids who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to participate in a traditional carnival experience.

🌳 We volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region at their Summer Fest! Completely open to the public, our employees helped run fun activities for kids at Twin Lakes Park while enjoying the live music and food trucks.

🎒📚 In Canton, we volunteered with The Salvation Army of Canton Ohio to hand out school supplies for kindergarten to 12th grade students. The event also had games for the students where they could win prizes, plus we also handed out a free to-go lunch!

We're so grateful to have community partners that not only support our youth but help them thrive year in and year out. Thank you for to our partners for organizing and letting us be a part of these community events, and thank you to all our employees who got out there to volunteer!

Meet Mary and Yvonne — proof that "tight-knit" friendships and referrals can lead to great opportunities. These two friends came to know one another through their shared love of knitting, and their friendship has been woven together over the years with their regular 'knit nights' together.

When Yvonne closed her independent knitting store for good, she was on the lookout for new avenues in her career. That's when she came across a role at Dollar Bank, the very same place she knew Mary worked. "Mary always spoke well of Dollar Bank when we were together," says Yvonne.

Without any hesitation, Mary sent in a referral for her friend.

Today, these two friends have made their marks on the Bank. Mary has received the Volunteer of the Year Award, and Yvonne was the recipient of the Inclusion Champion Award. Such honors speak volumes regarding each one's character, work ethic and heart.

Mary’s advice? “If you know of someone that you feel would be a great fit with Dollar Bank — REFER THEM! Hopefully they get to work for an awesome company, and you get to know that you have helped strengthen the company's employee network."

"Homeownership was something that me and my fianceé always wanted to do, it's just— We were scared, in a way? And we needed support."

Our Cleveland employees loved having the opportunity to help out at Honey from the Rock - the Cleveland Foster Care Closet. This grassroots volunteer-driven nonprofit provides quality items for daily living for children of all ages who are experiencing foster care, recently reunified with their family, or have been recently adopted from the foster care system.

We helped sort and organize donations, stock up the free store, assemble orders for children experiencing foster care and support special projects that directly serve foster, kinship (relative), reunified, and adoptive families (as well as aged out youth).

It's places like Honey from the Rock that truly stand out by directly impacting the lives of so many families and children. Thank you so much for having us come and be a part of it!

🍻 We couldn't really pick our favorite photos from Barrel and Flow Fest, so... guess you're getting ALL OF THEM! 🤭

We had an amazing time at this community event bringing together so many black-owned businesses, particularly during Black Business Month. The Small Business Market was buzzing with activity, and our Dollar Bank employees near the entrance had a blast welcoming everyone into the festival.
