UPDATE #2: Vet just called 5PM. She said kidney function looks excellent which determines severity of treatment. Xray also showed no stones. Waiting on blood work and urinalysis to come back to give more of a reason of what happened. But she said he's up, eating, being the sweetheart he is. She said she feels very positive about his outcome..

Took Bubs to Petwellclinic (they know him from so many visits for his asthma lol they were like look who it is ... BUBBS!!! ) the vet did an exam and said his bladder is completely full. You need to get him to an ER Vet IMMEDIATELY. he needs a catheter to drain it or possibly surgery if its that bad. So I called multiple places. Mostly everyone jumped right to surgery for 2-3k plus 200+ for ER exam fee.
Akeso called me back , the last ones.. and said bring him in now. Call when youre here. Under 100$ for ER exam fee. They came RIGHT out and took him back. They explained everything completely, and said they dont think surgery is necessary at this point which was a HUGE RELIEF, but he will need the catheter and will need to be in the hospital for 2-3 days ... If they drain the bladder and he comes home, itll happen all over again. So over the next few days, theyll be flushing his bladder, antibiotics, pain meds, labs, xrays, urinalysis...

Obviously being in an ER Vet Hospital still isnt cheap, but is cheaper than an emergency surgery. They gave me an estimate of about $1600-$2100. From the most recent update she gave me plus what I have to contribute, I'm hoping itll be more around 1k-1200.. but thats the current estimate.

Akeso also said you can call in and make a payment to the account (under my name for Bubbies)..

My sweet boy is a FIGHTER. Attacked at 2 wks old and neck ripped open. To asthma and having so many attacks one day, he turned blue, limp, and foaming at the mouth... now this. He is grateful and is soo loving. My sweet boy 🥰🥰🥰

Did you know life insurance has living benefits? A lot of people overlook this.

Meaning you can access up to a certain percentage of the death benefit while living if certain situations.

Just had a guy call in the other day- diagnosed with bladder cancer Nov 23 , going thru chemo. And wanted to do a living benefits claim.
He will now receive a monthly check up to sometimes 50% of his death benefit if he needs it.
