🥣 Today’s lunch has a little family tradition behind it! 🥣

John’s wife’s family grew up eating Sauerkraut Soup, so when we heard about this old family favorite, we thought it would be fun to give it a try!

And let us tell you… we are glad we did! ❤️

This hearty, comforting soup is packed with that delicious tangy sauerkraut flavor, and we paired it with a slice of fresh rye bread. The combination was absolutely fabulous! 🍲🍞

There’s just something special about foods that have been enjoyed around the family table for generations. What may be an everyday meal to one family can be a whole new tradition waiting to be discovered by another.

So that’s what we’re having for lunch today—a taste of tradition, with a little Edgerton Bakery rye bread on the side. ❤️

Peak Northern Lights season is upon us and if you haven't made it out to chase them yet — what are you waiting for? Southwest Minnesota has some surprisingly incredible dark skies and this time of year they do not disappoint. 🤍

There is truly nothing like standing under a sky full of color in the middle of the night wondering how something so breathtaking can just exist for free. 🌌

Meet a very young Stacie — Heritage Christian School student, cookie enthusiast, devoted to her cat Kitsy, and with dreams of becoming a baker.
Some things never change. 🍪😄

Stacie may work in insurance by day — but those baking dreams never really went away. Her custom cookies, cakes and cupcakes are proof that little Stacie in the knee socks was onto something. 🤍

🌿 Sometimes the most breathtaking places are the ones right in our own backyard.

Pipestone National Monument is one of those places that never gets old — no matter how many times you've seen it. Sacred ground, stunning scenery, and a piece of history that belongs to all of us.

If you haven't walked the trails lately — put it on your list this fall. The waterfall alone is worth the trip. 💙
