Hi Friends! Here's a short FYI for today.
There are a couple ways to insure your home - ACV (Actual Cash Value) and Replacement Cost. If your home were destroyed, you would be very hopeful your home is insured at Replacement Cost, which means you'd be paid the amount it costs to replace your loss up to the policy limits. If your home is insured at ACV, your payout would be Replacement Cost minus your home's depreciation, which could be very significant if your home has some age. ACV is cheaper for a reason! Check your policy today to see how your insured!
