Water damage is one of those coverages that does NOT come standard on most homeowners insurance policies. 💦💦
It’s also one of those coverages that you wish you had after you find out you need it. 😭 (Adding coverages after damage has already happened, and then proceeding to file the claim is insurance fraud 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. An agent will not do this for you!)
It only works if you have it before you need it.
💧Today’s tip: make sure you ask your insurance agent about water damage coverage.💧
*water damage and flood are not always the same, either! Ask about the differences and if you live in an area where additional flood coverage could be beneficial!*
