📣📣The Fed lowered their short term Fed Funds rate by .50% today!! This is great news as the cost to borrower money all around will get cheaper. We may not see an immediate drop in mortgage rates because a reduction of .25% - .50% was pretty built into the current market rates. The bond market will start looking ahead to the next Fed meetings in Nov & Dec. With an expectation of another couple rate cuts before the end of the year, I'm hoping we will see mortgage rates drop some in the coming months.
