If coming up with the down payment is the biggest thing standing between you and buying a home, I wouldn't automatically assume you have to keep waiting. I'd look at the DPA programs available, see what you qualify for, and determine whether assistance could reduce the amount of cash you need upfront. That's what Erik would do.
