My husband, Jim, said he wanted a side hustle. I didn’t realize he meant becoming the mascot of Arizona’s newest Buc-ee’s. 🦫😂

Arizona’s first Buc-ee’s officially opened today in Goodyear!🙌🏽🙌🏽

A few quick facts:

🦫 First Buc-ee’s in Arizona.
⛽ 120 gas pumps.
🏪 74,000 square feet.
🥩 Famous for brisket sandwiches, beef jerky, fudge, and Beaver Nuggets.
🚗 Expected to draw visitors from all over the state and world. 🌎

Happy Father’s Day to my husband, Jim. 💚

One of the greatest gifts God gave me wasn’t just a husband. It was a man who chose to love my family as his own.

In a second marriage, there are no guarantees. There are no rules that say someone has to step in, show up, and pour their heart into children and grandchildren who aren’t biologically theirs. But Jim did.

He loves our kids fiercely. He prays for them. Encourages them. Shows up for them. Invests in them. And somehow, he has enough love left over to do the same for every one of our grandchildren.❤️

Our family is better because of him.💯

I am so thankful for the example he sets, the wisdom he shares, and the steady love he gives so freely.

Today we celebrate a man who proves that family is built through love, commitment, and faithfulness.

Happy Father’s Day, Jim. We love you more than words can say. 💛

At this point, we’re not checking the weather anymore.

Arizona finally figured out what we’ve all known for years…😎

Shade is not a luxury. It’s survival. 😂

A new Arizona law (HB 2342) says HOAs can no longer outright ban backyard shade structures like pergolas, gazebos, shade sails, awnings, and canopies. 🚫

They can still have design guidelines, but they can’t make it impossible or ridiculously expensive to add shade to your backyard.✅

Considering it was 110° before breakfast last week, this seems reasonable. 🤣🌵☀️

If you’ve been dreaming of creating a more usable outdoor space, this is welcome news for Arizona homeowners. 🌴

Now excuse me while I continue my lifelong quest to move from one patch of shade to another. 😎☂️☀️

People are often surprised to learn that the age of the A/C system can matter more than the age of the roof. 😲🌵

Why? Because replacing an HVAC system can easily cost $10,000 to $20,000+ 💸💸 and when it’s 115° outside 🥵☀️, you don’t have the luxury of waiting.

A roof near the end of its life is usually something you can plan for. 🏠

An A/C system near the end of its life can become a very expensive surprise. 😬❄️

That’s why one of the first things I look at when helping buyers is the age, condition, and maintenance history of the HVAC system. 🔍✅

Apparently my laugh was a little too enthusiastic. 🤣🤣🤣

My laugh has been described as:

😂 Recognizable.
😂 Contagious.
😂 Slightly alarming.
😂 A public service announcement that something funny just happened.

I’ve had strangers thank me for making the comedy show more fun. 🙌🏽

I’ve had friends locate me in a crowd without ever seeing me. 👀😆

At this point, my laugh enters the room about 30 seconds before I do. 🤣

And honestly? I wouldn’t change a thing. Life is too short for quiet laugh. 😬🫣🤣

Yes, it’s going to be 105° today.😳

At this point, opening your car door feels less like transportation and more like entering a preheated oven. 😅🔥

The good news? It’s dry heat.🤭

The bad news? So is my sense of humor by August. 🤣

If you’re new to Arizona, here’s your official welcome packet:

☀️ Park in the shade.
☀️ Use a windshield sunshade.
☀️ Never trust a metal seatbelt buckle.
☀️ Carry water everywhere.
☀️ Learn to sprint from the parking lot.
