You may have heard us talk about homeowners insurance and how it protects so many of your important, can’t-live-without, life-changing possessions. It truly is a safety net that can catch those things you value most if disaster strikes.

But some of those important items have policy limits, meaning they may slip through the net when you least expect it.

🔄 Update Updates: Have you updated your home? New bathroom? Kitchen? Home gym? Whatever it is, make sure that it's reflected in your policy.

📋 Count It: Don’t be like that 80s rock ballad, “Don’t Know What You’ve Got (Till It’s Gone).” Make a home inventory so that you know what you have in case of a loss.

The quoting process can seem a little intimidating. Questions, back and forth information, and a result that feels like something you own but don’t really understand how it works. 🤔

That’s why knowing what to ask can help you feel more comfortable about what you get. Try asking these questions for your next quote:

1️⃣ What does this actually cover? What does it NOT cover?
Don’t be surprised by what a policy does and doesn’t do for you. 🔍

2️⃣ What should I choose for my deductible?
Don’t pick a number out of thin air or because it’s cheaper. Find a deductible that fits your situation. 💰

3️⃣ Do I qualify for discounts?
You may be pleasantly surprised by how many discounts exist: bundling, safe driver, claims-free, etc. 🎉

You've heard us say that reviewing your business insurance is important. But what do we mean? What kind of information do we need to make sure your business is protected?

Typically, we look for things like:

📈 Whether you’ve grown, hired, or added new services.
🔧 You rely on equipment, tools, or technology that needs updating.
🚚 You use vehicles as part of your business.
❓ You’re not 100% sure what your policy covers.

The good news is that a review doesn’t have to be a four-hour meeting. A quick chat, some emailed documents, and a sigh of relief are usually enough to get us caught up.
