😳 Mortgage rates are back over 7%.
And honestly? I’m not panicking.
Here’s the thing: the market doesn’t have to be “good” or “bad.” It’s just the market. There are opportunities in every market—you just have to know where to find them.
Right now, buyers actually have some leverage. We’re seeing sellers negotiate on price, offer substantial concessions, and deals still appraise at or above the purchase price.
And here’s something I remind my clients all the time: **the interest rate is only one piece of the puzzle.**
I’d much rather help someone find a payment they’re comfortable with than chase the lowest possible rate just so they can brag about it to their friends.
Because rates change. Markets change. Your financial situation changes.
What doesn’t change is the importance of having a good plan and someone in your corner who will actually answer the phone, explain your options, and keep the transaction moving.
There will always be headlines saying it’s the worst time to buy.
Meanwhile, people are still buying homes, selling homes, refinancing, moving up, downsizing and building wealth.
So no, I’m not competing against the market.
I’m competing against poor communication, missed opportunities and loan officers who disappear when things get complicated.
**Show up. Communicate. Know your options. That's how you win in any market.** 🏠🇺🇸
