What's one customer expectation that's changed dramatically over the last five years?

We'd argue it's patience.

Customers have grown considerably more comfortable with self-service experiences, incorporating them into nearly every part of their day. Their tolerance for poor ones, however, hasn't.

Successful self-service experiences are intuitive. They work the way customers expect on the first attempt, without requiring instructions or assistance.

That's a high bar, but it's quickly becoming the standard: getting customers what they need so they can move on with their day.
