➡️Preparing your home ahead of time can help protect your property, reduce damage, and keep your family safer when a storm approaches. The best time to get ready is before a hurricane is in the forecast.

🔺Your roof is one of your home’s first lines of defense during a storm. Check for loose or damaged shingles, weak flashing, and any areas that may already be leaking. Make repairs as early as possible.

Clean out your gutters and downspouts so rainwater can flow away from your home. Clogged gutters can lead to water backing up under the roof or pooling around the foundation.

🔻High winds can turn small outdoor objects into dangerous projectiles. Make sure your windows and doors are strong and properly sealed. If you live in a hurricane-prone area, consider installing storm shutters or keeping plywood on hand to board up windows if needed.
