AHCOPA's Deputy Director, Kim Rogers, recently spoke on a panel at Fauset Fest 2026: Black Women and the Dream of Home.

Free Library of Philadelphia hosted the panel which brought together local leaders and creative voices, including Dr. Casarae Abdul-Ghani (Temple University) and AHCOPA's very own Kim Rogers. Inspired by distinguished Philly writer and intellect, Jessie R. Fauset's "My House and a Glimpse of My Life Therein," the panel discussed literary themes of “home” for Black women and femmes in literature and what the realities of achieving of homeownership are.

Over the past year, AHCOPA served approximately 4,500 households, including educating more than 2,900 first-time homebuyers and supporting 276 households in successfully achieving homeownership!

We are proud of our work supporting our neighborhoods -- which is why we titled this year's Annual Report: "Rooted in Community".
