P.O.W.E.R is the Crater Region Workforce Development Board’s youth program. This WIOA funded program serves eligible in-school youth ages 16-21 who are 11th and 12th graders and out-of-school youth ages 16-24. Whether you are a high-schooler, high school graduate, GED recipient or dropout, the P.O.W.E.R. program can help you set and attain both educational and employment goals. The program provides occupational skills training, work readiness skills training, GED classes, financial education, leadership development skills training, work experiences, and one-to-one career counseling; at no cost to the participants. It affords the participants the means to pursue various career opportunities, gain educational and vocational skills, explore apprenticeships and on-the-job training. Each participant is assigned a Career Services Specialist to assist in developing an individualized employment plan. The program will emphasize completion of a credential, education and post-secondary training to obtain career goals in a demand occupation.
