What's changing and what isn't?

If you've been wondering what the transition to Highlands Bank means for you, here's the answer: The name is changing. The people, personalized service, and commitment to our communities are not.

In this Money Talks highlight, former Highlands Bank President & CEO George Ford shares why customers can expect the same friendly faces, the same trusted relationships, and the same community banking experience they've always known.

New name. Same great community bank.

Investing in our local schools means investing in our communities. 💙

Highlands Bank is proud to donate $5,000 to Pendleton County Middle/High School to fund new football play clocks for the Wildcats!

Cassie Marple, Riverton Branch Manager, recently presented the check to Jackee Propst, Athletic Director & Dean of Students, and Patrick McGregor, Principal.

The new play clocks will enhance the game-day experience for student-athletes, officials, families and Wildcat fans for years to come. We’re proud to support our local student-athletes and can’t wait to see it in action this football season! 🏈

Go Wildcats!

Back-to-school season is here! 📚 We were excited to once again help Grant County Schools kick off a new school year.

This year, Highlands Bank sponsored “I ❤️ WV Schools” T-shirts for all Grant County Schools employees, and each employee also received a new Highlands Bank portable charger. We were also happy to sponsor lunch following their back-to-school meeting at the Landes Arts Center.

Scotty Miley, SVP Lending; Shelley Mongold, SVP Loan Operations; Gale Vance, SVP Operations; John Baker, SVP & Chief Financial Officer; and Veronica VanMeter, Marketing Director joined Grant County Schools for the morning to hand out the gifts and spend time with the teachers and staff who do so much for our community.

We’re proud to support the people who educate, encourage, and make a positive difference for Grant County students every day. 💚

Wishing all of Grant County Schools a wonderful school year ahead!

Why Highlands Bank?

A new name wasn't chosen overnight.

In this episode of Money Talks, former Highlands Bank President & CEO George Ford shares how the decision was made, why Highlands Bank best reflects our heritage and the region we proudly serve, and how customer feedback helped shape the new brand.

Our name may be new, but our commitment to our customers and communities remains the same.

Please join us in welcoming Whitney Timbrook to Highlands Bank! 💚

Whitney joins us as a Commercial Loan Assistant, working between our Moorefield and Petersburg offices to support our Commercial Loan Officers.

A Moorefield native, Whitney recently returned to West Virginia after working as a middle school art teacher in Virginia. She was looking for a career change with opportunities to grow while giving back to her community.

Outside of work, Whitney enjoys creating and selling art, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband and their 9-month-old.

Welcome to the team, Whitney! 👋
