Here are the PLC projected Payment Rates for the 2025 cotton crop. Regardless of how you initially enrolled, you will be paid higher of the ARC or PLC if you opted in the program at FSA. These projections were put out by Plains Cotton Growers in their Cotton News August Update. The final rates for PLC and ARC will be set on September 30th!

📢 Heads up for producers with approved program applications for losses due to 2023-2024 natural disasters!

USDA is maximizing disaster assistance support through a second Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) payment to eligible producers. Application deadline has been extended to Aug. 12, 2026.

Here is a great informative bulletin on ARC and PLC. Please note, they are not going to make you choose your designation by March 15th. It appears it will happen after your acres are planted. Also, PLC and ARC will have no effect on supplemental insurance policies! Just wanted to pass this along for your information!

Today and every day, we honor the men and women who invest and manage the legacy of our land! There isn’t a more faithful person than a farmer and a rancher! They plant a seed and pray that the Lord will pour His blessings on the land and make the roots grow deep and the plant be fruitful! They carefully and pridefully care for the stock in all extremes. Despite the hardships they endure, they would do it again and again to serve and provide for the public.

USDA will release the first tranche of funding that was paused due to the review of funding in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). In alignment with The White House directives, Secretary Rollins will honor contracts that were already made directly to farmers.
